Nicole is a community organizer and writer based out of Northeast L.A. Her work focuses on traveling, love, heartache, death, and colorism. She is the author of El Amor Es Algo Sin Nombre and Corazón Vecino, a collection of short stories about love and death published by Razorcake. When she’s not busy working as a writer for a sustainable clothing company, you can find her doting around the city with her fur baby Metztli or curled up in bed with a good book. Hi, my name is Jannine Mancilla and I am from LA, born and raised. As an anthropologist and food enthusiast, you can find me conducting culinary tours in LA. I focus on underrated restaurants who bring culturally relevant dishes to LA’s food scene. Overall, I am passionate about uplifting my community and providing resources that elevate folks.
